tie quilt

I 've  just finished  piecing this neck tie  quilt.    Although it can be tricky sewing with ties and combining various fabrics it sure is worth the challenge when this is  the end result. Now all I have to do is get it on the machine, quilt it, bind it and deliver it to my customer.

child's t-shirt quilt

This is a fun t-shirt quilt!  My customer wanted me to incorporate the baby blanket so it is a center panel with all the other shirts surrounding it.  Every t-shirt quilt is a unique cotton treasure that can be used and enjoyed for many, many years.

fun chevron

This is a fun way to use a jelly roll.  I have had so many comment on using the purple solid, but it can be so much fun to get out of the box and just try something you are not sure about.  My 15 yr. old is a great encourager about just trying something with no fear...it'll be alright and if not....we'll make something new and that will be alright!! The purple was her idea :)

Here are two fun new patterns at the shop.  The Classmate could be  a fun Saturday project and the  smaller bags can be whipped up in no time at all.  These make great gifts.

I have so much to be thankful for!! Can you believe two years have passed since I first opened the doors to Cotton Treasures?  In these two years so much has happened...the store has grown beyond my expectations, I have added monogramming/embroidery services, I have developed some amazing friendships, we are now the home of Loose Threads quilters, and I have relocated!! I could go on and on but what I really want to say is "Thank You"!!!  You know who You are....everyone of You that has come through these doors and had an encouraging word to say, bought a spool of thread, left a quilt to be quilted, told me your "story", laughed and cried with me....thank you!!!  I guess the only way I know to say thank you is to have a sale.  So, starting tomorrow September 12 - September 15 all fabric, notions and pre-cuts will be 30% off.  Our new location is 218 E. Main, Senatobia, MS  near the Tobie Cinemas.  Come in see what's new and save!!  I look forward to seeing you soon.  Be sure to "like" us on facebook (I may just have to have another sale when I hit that magic number of "likes"!!!

This is definitely one of those projects where the joy I have received has been immeasurable.  God continues to remind me how wonderful He is, how He knit each and everyone one of us together in our mother's womb,  how He has a plan and purpose for each and everyone of us, and how when we follow Him, that purpose can impact the world.  Here is a link to The Baddour Center so you can check it out for yourself.  I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with the residents in order to create this beautiful quilt that will be auctioned off at their annual fashion show.

It is finished!!

Well, maybe it will never actually be finished but with much, much, much help we have come pretty close.  We are now up and running in the new location.  I hope to see you all soon at the new location 218 E. Main St, Senatobia.  We are in the shopping center with Tobie Cinemas.

Relocating!!!!!!!

(Above)- Outside our new location...as you can see there is still some improvements being made.

(Right) - an inside view of our new location.

This is an exciting time for Cotton Treasures.  I never dreamed that after only two years I would be relocating to a space twice the size.  While I will not be doubling my inventory immediately, the room certainly allows for plenty of growth.

Our new location is 218 E. Main St., Senatobia, MS
our phone number is still 662-292-2588

one proud mom

I'm sure you can all imagine how excited I was to see Casey sit at the sewing machine and make her summer project.

Isn't it lovely :)

vintage modern

This is a sweet little baby quilt that I made using "Vintage Modern" by Moda.  The half square triangles worked up super quick but the ruffle was another story.  In the end it was so worth the time.

Simply Color

T
This was a quick and easy project. It's a disappearing 9 patch and I used my new favorite fabric "Simply Color" by Vand Co.  You can get charm packs or jelly rolls at the store now and the fabric by the yard will be in the store in October.

the beginning

Today is the first day of my blogging life.  In all honesty I am hoping that updating a blog will be much easier than updating my website.  I can never remember the password and login and it takes forever for photos to upload.  I hope to have fun and inspiring quilt related photos and if ever there is something you would like for me to share just let me know.  Let the blogging begin :)

These are the two most recent photo quilts that I have made.  These are treasures that will last for generations.
